Kwara State House of Assembly today approved the suspension of eight local government chairmen in Kwara.
The suspension follows the recruitment of new staff into the affected local governments at a time they were unable to pay the existing staff.
The house approved the suspension after acknowledging a letter to the effect from Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.
The affected local governments are:
Irepodun
Oke Ero
Asa
Moro
Ilorin South
Ekiti
Patigi
Baruten.
